Two New Books on Amazon, and New Art!
I can’t believe it’s already the end of December! The last two months have been spent in adjusting to a new workplace (I’m still in childcare, in a new centre, and blimey, have I been busy!) and in preparing the December titles for Wren+Raven Publishing.
This time it’s Catch a Fibbing Star – holiday romance, frothy and cheery, previously posted on Wattpad – and We Meet Again, a collection of romantic short stories, familiar to some of you from my fanfiction times. Currently the second title is only $0.99 on Amazon, and more so, in the nearest future it’ll become free since Amazon matches the price at other platforms, and I want to make the collection a ‘reader catch’ to attract new audience to Wren+Raven.
For my darling Patrons, the short stories are free already; as well as the short story, which will become a greeting for those who are signing up for Wren+Raven Newsletter. If you still haven’t, here’s the link: http://eepurl.com/dH2XSj.
If you’re interested in supporting my writing/drawing, have a look at my Patreon!
I have drawn the art for the cover for We Meet Again, and even, found myself somewhat pleased with the result – so that I even decided to sell downloadable prints of it in my Etsy shop. It’s been abandoned for so long, but sadly, there are only that many hours in a day!
Those of you who pledged $5 or more on my Patreon will receive both drawings (Wren and John) used for the cover as high-res downloadable prints, plus the third drawing – of a brooding John – as a gift. I drew it first, but eventually my designer and I decided John needed to look more inviting. We all know how cantankerous my male protagonists can be, but these stories, after all, are all happy romance sort of thing. Nonetheless, I had so much fun drawing the tall, dark, and moody.
None of my usual writing happened recently, I regret to say. I’ve been quite slow in updating my stories on Wattpad, and had even less time for drawing. I’m still trying to allocate as much time as possible during my week for creativity, but my current schedule and workload make it challenging.
On the other hand, now that Wren+Raven has more titles available on Amazon Kindle, and we started a few ad campaigns, I’m hopeful that maybe, possibly, perhaps the income from my writing could – maybe, possibly, perhaps – allow me to switch to a part-time employment (I’m not going to even mention how much I’d love to spend ALL my time writing and drawing… oops, I just did :D). Although, I do love my job and all ‘my’ kids, but how wonderful it would be…
Here’s what I’ve been up to recently! Talk to you soon!
